Based off of the original painting above, some sketching was required on what could be improved upon. I ended up making some simple thumbnails that kind of play off of what I wanted to change, add, or improve on. Below shows a colored rough version of what I wanted the final product to look like.

The next step was to create a rough that included the colors I wanted to add as well as some notes that would clarify to me the "game plan". This part was seen in peer review and was heavily critiqued on one thing: copyright. As much as I hated to hear that, the professor who said that was totally correct and I had to change my approach on this project.

From there, I decided to at least sketch out the digital version and, in that process, I decided to change up the charm and the color of the girl in the robe. I branched off of my original game plan and kept the same style but changed her hair to a different color as well as her name. The name Fuchsia came up because her hair was the same color as the fuchsia flowers that are in the background. The final version is below followed by a timelapse of the digital drawing.
